And I ....
A poem about a few moments in the world.
A droplet, infused my moonlight, kisses an emerald leaf; And I cry. The truthful song of a warbling Magpie, transforms the breeze; And I laugh. The astringent juice of a ready raspberry, bleeds into my tongue; And I ache. The teacup eyes of my closest comrade, melt into my soul; And I open. To beauty To whimsy To transience To kinship. To it all, at once. Then it too passes. And warmth breaks through my thickening skin; Cracks me open from the inside. I smile. I remember. And I cry.

This was so soft and earnest and gentle. 🥹 Moments don't last long but they carry so much within them, and I love the way this moves...crying, laughing, aching, opening, smiling remembering, and back to crying...and it all happens at once.😌 Love the imagery here.
Also-magpie! 😍
I loved the way everything moves through the poem without staying. The raspberry, the bird, the eyes of a friend. Nothing remains, and yet something keeps opening.
