Like a separated sock,

looking for the other one,

before they're split again.

A simple and perfect description of being both here and there and no where..

I’m grateful this meaning came through Steve. Thanks for taking the time to read my work and I’m glad it stayed with you.

Short and thoughtful. I like it!

Thanks so much Hayden:) I’m glad you liked it.

I try to stay with crystallised themes in my poetry with economy of words. I take it as a bit of a challenge. Tend to go on a bit in my articles though 😂

I loved the movement from searching for an answer to simply remembering to breathe. Sometimes the return begins exactly there.

So true Antonio.

I truly appreciate your response to my poem.

Yes, there is something spiritual about just noticing. Quietens things and leads you right where you need to go.

Ooo this resonates:

"Is nothing

something?

Or something, nothing?"

I like to thing nothing is something! I love the way you played with words in this piece.

Thanks so much Jo:)

It felt playful to write.

So do I. I feel there’s this judgment often inherent in self reflection. Like it’s self indulgent and we haven’t got time for it in a world that deifies action (more often reaction). Though I believe that without it, there’s reactivity and not response. Transaction rather than connection.

Absolutely, so true and so well said!
